Its hard to believe that its December again! Ms Lulu's will be participating in Shop for a cause this Saturday Dec 5th, and Merry Madness on Thursday, Dec 17th. This year donations will be going to The Florence House, a comprehensive women's center. Shop Locally and support a great cause! Merry Madness will be a blast as always and we will be serving wine this year! Definitely stop by and see me and Ellie...

We have Holiday dresses left in 6mos-8 and a wonderful assortment of gifts and stocking stuffers this year. It is a hard time economically for everyone this year and we have tried to keep our prices down. Its hard to compete with the Maine Mall and Big Box stores but we hope some of you will try to shop locally. Whether it is with us at Ms Lulu's or another independently owned store, lets keep our dollars in the community!

* We are participating in Dash Diva. An event for women taking place Thursday Oct 29th 4:30-9:30pm at Holiday Inn by The Bay. Tickets are available at Broadway Gardens, Simply You,Sashays, Club 302, and the Portland Press Herald.
There will be raffles, give-aways, fashion shows, Zumba and Belly Dancing lessons, and great local entertainment! Look for us in the fashion show and at our booth.

Ms Lulu's will be closed on Tuesday June 1st. We have been asked (for the second year in a row!) to have a segment on The Best Of Maine. Jackson, Lola and Charlie will be appearing in the segment as well as yours truly.
This year the show has been picked up by The Travel Channel and will air 8 times over the summer! This is a very exciting opportunity for us and we appreciate your understanding!

Summer Hours

Hi Everyone!
We have extended our hours for the summer- We are now open Mon-Sat 10a-5p and Sundays 12p-5p.

We have also added the Happiest Toddler On The Block after such a great response to the Happiest Baby DVD. One dad after purchasing the DVD for his 10 day old infant, told us he had bought it 10 days to late! So if the dads are loving it and finding it useful then it must be great!

Our sale rack is still full of bargains and we even have one Deux Par Deux boys snowsuit left as well as 3 Baby Star girls' crib sets. A 300 dollar value they are on sale for 80 dollars!! A total steal!

We have also expanded our selection of Noodle and Boo. We now carry the Glowology line for all you expectant mamas.

Bigger Sizes

Many of you have been asking us to carry bigger sizes in our girls clothes. We simply don't have the space to carry the larger sizes in all of our brands.
However, we are very excited to announce that we do have a few size sevens and eights in a couple of the Deux Par Deux outfits. Please check with an employee and we can steer you in the right direction. I have also ordered a few of the bigger sizes in a new french brand we will be carrying this fall.
We hope that this will help as we are very aware of the lack of boutique clothes for big girls and tweens.

Happy Spring!

Ms Lulu's is now open on Fore Street! We are so happy in our new location and can't wait for everyone to see it! We are currently having a contest for a 250 dollar shopping spree, so please be sure to stop in and enter!

If you are anything like Ellie and I you are ready to put away the dreary winter duds and get something with a little color. Easter Dresses by Sarah Louise are in, as well as new Deux Par Deux, Luna Luna, Baby Club, Little Joules and as always our favorite, Zutano.

This is also the season of Baptismal's and Christenings. We have gowns for boys and girls, shoes and gifts. If you don't see anything you like be sure to look in the Sarah Louise catalogue and we can place a special order.

If you have recently tried to call us, we are one of the many disgruntled Fairpoint customers without service. We are hoping to have a working phone sometime in the following week. Unfortunately our number will be changing.

Update! We are in fact going to open in the next week or so. I just got out of the hospital and obviously that has been a major setback!! So please bare with us during this hectic time and we promise to be back in business real soon!!

The new space is being primped and painted for our arrival! It looks like we will be in sometime the first week of March and opened for sure by the second week! We are so excited to be on Fore street among all the beautiful stores and hustle and bustle of the Old Port.
Please note that we are still open on Gold st through the end of Feb and will have a small window of time where we are closed during the move.
Also, Willow did not go out of business. J'adore has simply consolidated the 2 stores. Now you can shop for fashion and beauty all under the same roof. They have amazing clothing and wonderful beauty products so be sure to check them out. My pick is the Lollia candle!

We are excited to announce Ms Lulu's will be relocating to 425 Fore street in March. Currently Willow, the new space is bigger, brighter and easier for our customers to find. Its conveniently located next to a parking garage as well...no more braving the icy alley!

*I am going on Maternity Leave tomorrow and expect a baby in the next 3 wks! Her name is Wendy and many of you have already met her. Ellie will be available as well if you need to speak to an owner.

We just got in the best tutus by a local crafty duo called Sheabella Tutus. We only have 2 in stock right now but expect more in 2 weeks. Its a line from the UK and is also available through Garnet Hill (they sold out in 3 days!!!!), you will absolutely love it! We also have Corky Coats in stock as well as Deux Par Deux snowsuits. We will be putting out more fall items as time progresses.

We are still having our summer sale! Now prices are slashed by 75%, be sure to come soon for the bargains as we have sold a ton already!

Some of you might have noticed we have been closed since Friday. My family and I went to Mississippi for the weekend to attend my grandfathers 90th birthday party. Our newest employee Lauren was suppose to work but was hurt in a work related accident. We will be reopening tomorrow, Weds August 6th, at our regular time of 10am.

Our new hours went into effect today and are as follows:

We will remain closed on Mondays.

Bodemi, Bodemi, Bodemi

A Scarborough, Maine designer by the name of Boren is hitting the big time with her amazing childrens line. She does both boys and girls, dressy and casual, but she really scores with her girls dresses. They are feminine, different, affordable and cool.

Boren has already had her dresses on the red carpet and we expect to see a lot of great things happen for her.

You can now find some of her line Bodemi right here at Ms Lulu's! We are the only store in the Portland area carrying her dresses and we are beyond excited.

She also created a product called the reading kaboodle. Its a mat and pillow scaled down to child size dimensions and it has a slot for a favorite book. Best part about it is that it comes in really cool fabrics and it rolls up when not in use. A smart and innovative way to get your child to curl up with a good book.

We hope to see more kids dressed in Bodemi real soon!

Boppy, Birthdays and Polliwalks Oh My!

Hey Everyone!
Ms Lulu's will be closed on Saturday February 2 for my daughters 3rd Birthday! We will reopen on Tuesday at 11am...Sorry for the inconvenience but it is a very special day! Photos to follow...

Boppy Nursing Pillows have arrived! They now have an expandable middle to fit Moms (and bottle feeding dads) of all shapes and sizes. We also have Boppy Head Rests for Infants which help reduce "flat head syndrome" and keep your babies head nice and stable while in the car or stroller.

Polliwalks are here as well! Check em out at Polliwalks.com as they are too cute. Think Crocs but with personality and they leave little surprise animal prints in the mud, dirt and sand!

Lastly, we are FINALLY part of Park and Shop. So, don't fret if you can't find a meter, we will stamp your card from one of the participating garages for upto 2 hours of free parking.

As a family run business sometimes we have to close for special occasions. And February 2nd is a very special day for the Ms Lulu's family! My daughter Lola is turning 3 so we will be closing the doors for that day so everyone can attend her party. Pictures to follow....

Also...Boppy nursing pillows and infant head rests have arrived. Boppy makes a great Baby Shower gift for first time moms and they now have an expandable middle so they work for moms (or dads!) of all sizes.
